We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sub-Editor to oversee, refine, and enhance healthcare content across various platforms. The role requires expertise in healthcare journalism, medical writing, and editorial accuracy, ensuring content adheres to industry standards, regulatory compliance, and medical ethics.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and proofread news articles, press releases, research reports, white papers, and healthcare blogs for accuracy, clarity, and coherence.
- Ensure that all healthcare content aligns with NABH guidelines, medical accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Fact-check medical information and validate sources to ensure credibility and ethical reporting.
- Work closely with healthcare writers, medical professionals, and PR teams to refine hospital-related content.
- Maintain consistency in medical terminology, tone, and language across different content formats.
- Develop content guidelines and editorial standards for healthcare publications and PR materials.
- Assist in headline writing, formatting, and structuring content for digital and print platforms.
- Monitor trends in healthcare policies, hospital updates, and medical research to ensure timely and relevant reporting.
- Optimize healthcare content for SEO, patient engagement, and hospital branding.
- Coordinate with graphic designers and video editors for multimedia content integration.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in healthcare journalism, medical content editing, or hospital PR.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Healthcare Management, or a related field. A background in medical editing or healthcare communication is a strong advantage.
Skills
- Exceptional editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills.
- Strong command over medical writing, healthcare policies, and hospital PR.
- Knowledge of journalistic ethics, compliance standards, and healthcare industry regulations.
- Ability to simplify complex medical concepts for a general audience while maintaining scientific accuracy.
- Familiarity with SEO, digital publishing tools, and content management systems (CMS).
- Experience working with healthcare professionals, PR teams, and hospital administrators.
